Mission Activity Update

As we step ahead into 2012, the Mission Committee wishes to thank the Congregation for their generous support of the Mitten Trees.  The donated items were delivered to the Shelter on January 13th.  Each year, the response of all in our church family is truly appreciated. 

Also, the Deacons and Mission Committee members joined to aid an "Adopted Family" of  FPC to give them assistance.  Further aid will be given this family, if needs arise.  Again, the contributions of our Congregation are the foundations of these gifts and all are grateful for this response.

Our next Food Drive will be on Saturday, February 4th, with new signs marking the event at the  Parish House drop-off point.  We will be there from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Especially needed are hearty soups, stews and hot cereals, as well as any donation of unexpired food.  Toiletries and any cleaning products are always in need as well.  Donations of money are also a welcome option.

Our next opportunity to serve at the IRF Shelter in Hackensack will be on Monday, March 19th.  Again, we shall be asking for help in providing desserts and serving the meal.

From March 4th through March 25th, the Committee will collect Easter treats for the children whose families are served by the Food Pantry. We will bring the items to the Pantry before Easter so needy families may have some treats to give their children on April 8th, Easter Sunday.
