HAPPY 109TH BIRTHDAY,
EMILY!!
On
June 4, 2009, Emily Jones celebrated her 109th birthday surrounded by some members of her church family, friends and her fellow
residents at Regent Care Center. She enjoyed the music, especially "God Bless Ameria," singing right along
with everyone. Hospice presented her with a wonderful memory scrapbook and the News Leader sent a reporter to interview
her. She also received a phone call from YHogi Berra (he was unable to attend). She told everyone one of her favorite
stories aobut growing up in Wilkes Barre, Pa. She is a truly remarkable person.
